Kite JournalWednesday September 11th, 2013Playing Inside Todaymaking it all just sewI've been fiddling with templates lately. Copying the Force Rotor plan onto cardstock in two different smallish sizes, drawing out a basic foil with my own tweaks to its profile, and even cutting some cardstock with some of my own designs for a banner. ![]() I haven't really made it near the sewing machine lately, but as time permits, I am gathering steam and a few small piles of hot cut ripstop in preparation of a mass sewing session soon. Tonight may work out to have a bit of machine time before bedtime, we shall see. ![]() The banner design is probably a bit past my skillset, but that's what learning is all about. This design is basically an applique attempt and hopefully it will look ok when it's all together. I had hoped to have a two-sided design, but it looks like i will have a one-sided banner design, at least for this first one. ![]() It will be a small banner, not sure how tall it will get but I'm thinking 5 or 6 feet maybe. ![]() There was some wind earlier but it turned into storms so no flying. And work schedules kept me from driving to the post office at lunch, so it will be another day of postal prison before the iFlites get to come home. ![]() |
