Kite JournalMonday April 1st, 2013Just Foolin’ Aroundnot quite ready to bounceSome progress was made with Spike today as the end of this project inches closer to fruition. After much contemplation and indecision, the nose, er beak, was attached. Double stitching seemed in order as the way I am putting him, or her, together will put a lot of stress on the newly attached appendage. Not being sure of the perfect length needed, a long piece of yellow was cut and fed into the pentagon opening, then each side was attached in turn. Once the full circle had been completed, a hemline was sewn and then the excess was removed with a hot cut. Coming up next, it's time to attach the bridle, and then off to bounce on the beach!       |
