Look, up in the sky ...

The wind was gone all day yesterday, but today it was back. The Rev-B was still in disrepair since the crash last wednesday, so I replaced the broken bungie cord that holds the cap for the vertical rod, with some 300 pound Dacron line. It seemed to do the trick, it just wasn't stretchy. So maybe that won't be good in a crash, as it will not have any give to it, but it should hold together.

The plan was to fly for an hour and then head home and watch the Super Bowl. As I laid out the line it was already whistling in the wind, so I knew there was plenty of wind. I put on Dark Side Of The Moon and launched right after the ahhhh.

Flying on one hundred twenty foot lines sure makes the sky seem downright huge. Being the third time flying a Rev in a week makes everything flow that much better, and I am just enjoying flying to Pink Floyd while slowly meandering around the sky.

The wind was strong for a bit but slowed well before Money. It would be strong at times, reminding my how much pull a Rev can have, and then lull to the point that eventually I would have to set down. It was almost like the wind was listening to the music, as it really did seem to lull with music, and rise as well.

The wind slowed as the album ended. I put on Animals but the wind did not cooperate. A couple of more short flights and it was time to bolt.

As I rolled up the Rev and put it away, the wind blew strong across the field. Of course.
