Kite JournalMonday January 7th, 2013Have A Nice Yearand many many moreWow, it's been a new year for a week now and I still haven't posted a journal entry. Time is flying and soon kites will be as well. Actually I haven't really posted anything worthwhile since mid December as, well, things got very busy. You can see some pictures of some new kites on the journal pages from the 28th and 29th of December, but that's about it. There's lots to talk about, of course, there's the Gomberg Watch i last mentioned on December 7th ( one month ago today ), there's the new blue iFlite, there's the new "go Fly A Kite" parafoil 15 that I purchased from old city kites, and of course, there's a couple of new kites that showed up under the tree on Christmas day. Lots and lots to talk about and some pictures to go with them. With all these topics that need to be discussed and posted, a more pressing matter is closing in quick. Real quick. And that is the 16th Annual Treasure Island Kite Festival and Sport Kite Competition! We attended last years' festival and it was just wonderful. So we are all set to go, reservations are made, new kites aquired, lines and accessories have arrived. And quite frankly, we just cannot wait. In two weeks it will all be over except the smiling, but for now, excitement builds. Ok, we still need a couple of items. One is being sewn by the kitepaloopas as we speak. I doubt it will make it across the country in time, but I can't wait to see it. No it's not a kite, but a 50 foot banner tail for our new Peter Lynn Pilot that is already on it's way to us now. They are part of yet another Gomberg Watch. So, as you can tell, things are busy at windstock, despite my lack of postings. That's all for today, tomorrow i will begin describing what was in the Gomberg Watch from December and hopefully have a few pictures to share. Happy New Year Everyone! -g |
