Kite JournalFriday April 19th, 2013Friday Lunchtime Follieswith a little KAP on the sideI am behind on journal entries, which is great because that means we've been out playing. Life is good. I had an opportunity to take the Rev B out at lunch on this fine friday, with sometimes strong wind followed by sometimes weak wind, but no complaints here. All in all is was a fun time flying and after a crazy week for everyone in America, flying a kite was just what I needed. I flew for more than my alotted hour and could have stayed all afternoon but of course there was work to do. I had a chance to put the Hot Wheels cam car on the kite for a few KAP* flights, that's it in the second pic below, hanging on the right side upright rod. The weight is minimal and did not really affect my flight much at all. The resulting videos are linked below, they are what they are... a bit jumpy and hard to watch at times, but you get an idea of what's possible. I need to put this little cam on a single line and see what i get. But i can't resist sticking it on the quad line and pointing it around the field. By the way... these flights are on one hundred twenty foot lines. ![]() ![]() Take a ride on my rev... here are two links to the cam videos: (Beware ...these little videos are quite bouncy. ) KAP flight One KAP flight Two * KAP = Kite Aerial Photography |
